    Polycaprolactone (PCL) is white particles, non-toxic, insoluble in water, and easily soluble in a variety of polar organic solvents. PCL has good biocompatibility and is compatible with many conventional plastics, as well as good biodegradability, it can be completely degraded into water and CO2. In addition, PCL also has good shape memory temperature control properties, and is widely used in the production and processing of drug carriers, plasticizers, degradable plastics, nanofiber spinning, shaping materials, toys, etc.

    eSUN has the world's only PCL industrial continuous polymerization capability. PCL has two major directions for biomedical and biodegradable packaging applications. Biomedical applications include low-temperature radiotherapy fixation plates and bone fixation low-temperature thermoplastic plates, and biodegradable packaging applications are becoming more and more widely used with the global ban on plastics.

    The "Polycaprolactone (PCL)" national standard (GBT376 42-2019) drafted by eSUN was officially promulgated and implemented on January 1, 2020. The company plans to further increase the production capacity of polycaprolactone by 6000 tons per year. It will be put into production in 2021 to meet the growing needs of the biodegradable and biomedical market.
